Targa Sofa

The two seater Targa sofa designed by the Italian Danish designer duo GamFratesi in 2015 for Gebruder Thonet Vienna. Equally stunning in a public space that prefers an intimate effect or as a magnificent statement in an eclectic home, this sofa will be eye catching. Thonets iconic trademark coexist in this piece that combines Viennese straw elements with steam bent beechwood that creates a unique enveloping frame. The structure holds the wide seat cushion and the upholstered backrest has a woven cane edge with an ellipsoidal element, the plate or targa, after which the design is named. The rattan back is slightly warped in places and there is two black marks on the back of the frame that can be seen in the photos, otherwise the sofa is in very good condition. Purchased from Space Furniture, the sofa is verified authentic and available now in Melbourne.
