Description:
The SP9 cantilever armchair designed by Serge Cherayeff for PEL was originally commissioned for the UK BBC. Art Deco in style, this chair is beautifully ergonomic with large bowed arms, wide seat and back rest. Being a cantilever design, it has a spring to it when is use. The chair has recently been reupholstered in an aged tan leather with brass studs on the back as a finishing detail, with new rubber feet added to the base. Apart from corrosion on most of the chrome frame, the chair is in good condition consistent with age. Circa UK 1932. Verified authentic and available now in Melbourne.
