Jenny Topfer 2002 'Untitled' Still Life – Set of 2 (Diptych)

A striking, exhibition-scale pair of original square oil paintings by mid-career Australian contemporary artist Jenny Topfer (b. 1964). Dating to 2002, this pair represents a highly significant milestone in Topfer's practice—emerging from the exact inaugural year she established her permanent studio practice in Tasmania after transitioning away from a corporate career in Sydney. Stylistically, these 106cm x 106cm canvases beautifully capture her foundational, painterly semi-figurative language before migrating into her heavily-textured monochrome minimalist works. Featuring a bold, rich palette of deep crimson, burgundy, and vibrant cadmium yellow, the compositions offer a modern, meditative reimagining of classic European still-life themes. Beautifully balanced with expressive brushwork and rich texture, they carry incredible scale and command a space perfectly. Functions beautifully as a unified diptych statement side by side or above and below. DIMENSIONS (EACH): 106 cm Width x 106 cm Height x 4 cm Depth CONDITION: Good.
