Made in Italy by Quartzcolor, the Polaris Fresnel was developed for professional film, television and theatre production, combining a 1000 watt tungsten source with an adjustable Fresnel lens and barn doors for precise control of beam and spill. Built as working equipment rather than decoration, its industrial construction and uncompromising functionality give it the kind of presence that is difficult to manufacture deliberately. Decades of production use have left their history visible across the housings, turning what was once purely technical equipment into an object with genuine cinematographic character. Designed to create atmosphere on screen, they now have enough of their own. Conditioned for presence and atmosphere with age appropriate wear expected of a vintage piece.
