Vintage Hand Knotted Oushak Rug

Vintage Hand Knotted Oushak Rug from the Anatolia region of Turkey. It is cotton based with wool knotting. This rug is approx 80 to 100 years old and is intended to be used with the lighter side showing upwards. This side of the rug is very warn as you would expect with such an old rug but this adds to its charm. The underside of the rug, the darker side, is beautiful and almost in excellent condition considering its age. You can see where it has been mended in the middle some time in its life. The rug would look beautiful hanging on a wall or used as a floor rug in a living or bedroom area. Please look closely at the pictures and enlarge them to see the wear, no tears, if you intend to use the rug with the lighter side showing up. This rug was purchased from Halcyon Lake in 2015.
